A few years back, Tim Jenkins and I had the day off from a week of guiding and decided to hit the river. We knew a few bugs were going to be hatching but it was whether or not the fish were going to eat those flies was the question. As we rigged up at the car we saw signs of bug life all around us.
It was a good 20 minute hike downstream before we started fishing. We saw bugs on the water but the fish didn’t seem too interested so we decided a dry dropper rig would be the way to go. Tim’s first cast upstream proved to us that the fish were indeed looking up. This brown didn’t hesitate to eat his stimulator. We proceeded to catch the next few fish on dries. Taking turns, we worked our way upstream and had a great day of dry fly fishing.
It’s always fun to get out with friends and enjoy a memorable day on the water. Enjoy the video!!!
